A Special Board Sponsored Conversation:

At the 2018 General Assembly’s Ware Lecture, educator, organizer, writer and speaker, Brittany Packnett, offered a powerful, humbling and inspiring call for UUs to commit to the daily work of racial justice from a deeply spiritual center of love.

The lecture touched on themes of expectancy, identity and committed action, with implications for how we practice love through working for justice in our homes, our congregation and our community.

Cited by President Barack Obama as a leader whose “voice is going to be making a difference for years to come,” Brittany is an unapologetic educator, organizer, writer, and speaker.  She is the author of the forthcoming book, We Are Like Those Who Dream, with One World.

Members of the Board of Trustees will screen the lecture (~45 minutes), and then lead reflective conversation.

Fee: No charge.

Details: Sunday, May 5, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Drop-ins welcome.
